WE WILL RESTORE YOUR ROLLS ROYCE/BENTLEY

We have lots of experience restoring 1930s through 1950s Rolls Royce and Bentley vehicles. We are currently working with Bentley specialist BenSport Ltd in the creation of the outstanding Bentley La Sarthe a hand-built car based on a Bentley R-Type Continental chassis.

Restoration of Rolls and Bentley’s commands the highest possible skills in fabrication, bodywork and paint. Many of the older aluminium bodies have age related micro corrosion in the panels which can cause paint defects. Very careful preparation and pre-sealing is required to create the final mirror like paint that is a signature of these cars.

The cars can be surprisingly pleasant to drive and with the introduction of modern power steering solutions and hidden fuel injection they can be made to keep up with modern demands.

CLASSIC AUSTIN HEALEY RESTORATION SPECIALISTS

The last Austin Healey 3000 Mk 3 completed by the factory was restored by us and we were delighted when it achieved the highest price ever paid for the marque.

The early Austin Healey’s are fantastic vehicles and their story begins in 1952 with the Austin Healey 100 and Austin Healey 100M. But it’s the so called ‘Big Healeys’ that command much of the attention, the Austin Healey 3000 was born in 1959 as the Mk1 with the Mk 2 arriving in 1961. Both of these cars had better gearboxes and disc brakes to the front wheels. Today these cars command big money so it’s worth remembering the Mk 1 Austin Healey Sprite, the so called ‘Frogeye’ Sprite with the fabulous clam bonnet and bulbous headlights as an alternative. The Austin Healey Sprite Mk2, 3 and 4 are also worth considering – these are in effect identical to the MG Midget but offer cheap and fun classic car driving.

The Austin Healey Mk 3 arrived in 1964 and offers the most powerful Austin Healey experience with 148 bhp and a top speed of 121 mph – these are fantastic fun to own and like all of the Healey’s are straightforward to restore. Rust is of course the biggest issue with all of these cars, rot can set in fast on cars that have been stored poorly. These cars have been collected for many years and many will have had previous repairs. When buying one take a magnet along to the viewing and thoroughly check for filler repairs that could be hiding very serious damage.
